Approach

Set technical direction, kept delivery focused and represented the team, including at international defence exercises. Carried the same clinical data principles from NHS delivery into a defence context.

Optometry referrals platform

Role

Problem

A new optometry platform handling referrals into the NHS, needing structured, interoperable clinical data from day one.

Approach

Built on OpenEHR and integrated with national NHS services including the e-Referral Service (eRS), Personal Demographics Service (PDS) and Organisation Data Service (ODS). Also organised an engineering hackathon exploring practical AI use cases from the engagement.

Serverless platform with a government digital team

Problem

A serverless service to deliver with developers from two organisations.

Approach

Led a mixed consultancy and government team to deliver an AWS serverless solution, encrypted with KMS, tested with Jest and monitored through Splunk, with infrastructure and deployment defined as code.
